I think being a Tempter could be interesting.
Being assigned a person to tempt rather than haunt. A tempter is similar to a fate but can direct a person away from or to a specific outcome.
A tempter can: Hear the thoughts of the entity (person or animal) they are assigned to. Place temptations/thoughts into the minds of their assigned entities. Increase the amount of time their assigned entity thinks about a specific placed temptation. Have mild influence over other entities in who may be able to influence a choice made by their assigned entity Arrange for coincidental arrangements of schedule for their entity only. Travel extremely fast so they can arrange for circumstances to happen before their entity arrives at a certain place.
Example:My tempter influences my boss to allow me to leave early from work. My tempter also has arranged for the driver of a truck advertising a specific tequila to be beside me for most of my commute. My tempter has also arranged for traffic to back up so I must "choose" a different route home which passes by a liquor store which happens to carry the brand of tequila which was advertised on the truck. Minutes before my temper prompted the store manager to change the sign out front to include a sale on the tequila.

Tequila!
Ooops, sorry, forgot everything else your wrote that came before that. Hand a sec while I reread.
Back.
I like it. :0) So this TEMPTER would be different from a TEMPTRESS in that those tend to be "a woman who tempts someone to do something, typically a sexually attractive woman who sets out to allure or seduce someone (google dictionary)" and this sounds more influential than seductive?

Seems like a cool idea. But why does the profession exist? What purpose does it server?
